What kind of ceremonies can you organize?

We can help you planning the following ceremonies:
>> Civil ceremonies
>> Catholic blessings
>> Catholic ceremonies with civil effects
>> Symbolic ceremonies
>> Renewal of vows

How do we start organising our wedding in Italy?

Start by looking at our “ weddings venue”, select something you like , decide the date, send an e-mail, and we will send you the information packs. There is a small form where we will ask to some simple details in order to answer you more accurately. Once you know what type of ceremony you require, and having discussed the details with us (weddings@topleveltravel.com) look into the availability of your wedding date, and establish a small deposit, to guarantee our services.

Can Top Level Travel arrange my wedding in towns other than Sorrento?

Yes, we can arrange weddings in other locations of Sorrento Peninsula, Tuscany and Sicily: Piano di Sorrento – Massalubrense. In Amalfi Coast: Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Minori – Capri – Taormina – Castles and other special locartions in Tuscany.

Can I marry outside in a civil ceremony?

In Italy a Civil service can only take place INSIDE in the Town hall or palace owned by the local government , and the ceremony is performed by the local Mayor or functionary.

How long is the ceremony?
The readings of the civil vows are about 15 to 20 minutes long but you can enhance and enrich the wedding however you prefer.

How are they conducted?

In Italian with an interpreter (which we provide).
When you arrive in the Marriage Hall you are greeted by the Mayor or official . Then he begins by reading the marriage service and our interpreters translate for you step by step. Then rings and vows are exchanged; then the witnesses have to sign some documents as do the bride and groom.

If we get married in Italy is our marriage recognised in the rest of the world?

Yes, it will. After celebrating a legally binding wedding, civil or religious, you will receive a legal Wedding Certificate which is recognized and legal in any other country. A registration of the document in your country, at your local City Hall, County Register or Registry Office may be required. We will take care of sending the Wedding Certificate to you.

Will the ceremony be in English or Italian?

A civil ceremony will be in Italian with an English translator.

I have been divorced can I have a civil wedding?
Yes but for the bride 300 days must have passed since the date of the Decree Absolute. This does not apply to the groom.

What does the paperwork involve and will you help us?

We will tell you what you need to do when you have decided on when and where you want your wedding. We will deal with the Consulates and town halls. It isn’t difficult.

When do you suggest we start to plan our wedding in Italy?

We suggest you start planning your wedding in Italy 9 -12 months in advance. The first stage is to find a venue and secure the date as many places get booked well in advance as they are very popular with foreigners and Italians. We can arrange a wedding in a little as 3 months but in these cases there will be a limited selection of places to choose from especially if you are a group of people.

How many days prior to the wedding should we arrive?

We suggest you arrive no later than three days before the wedding day. Some cases can vary but you will always be advised of this in advance.

We are only a small group will you help us to organise our wedding?

We can help anyone one to get married in Italy no matter what the size of the group, we can even help 2 people only by providing witnesses for them.

Can we have the ceremony in English?

Catholic and Symbolic ceremonies are usually performed in English. Civil ceremonies are performed in Italian and a translator is required by law. A legally recognized interpreter must be present during the civil ceremony. We can provide official interpreters as well as witnesses unless you have family and/or friends.
